Walk-ins Welcomed.

Where will i be seated?

On the Greenhouse Patio or in the Dining Room

  • Dining Room

Our dining room features a colorful, retro bar and roll-up garage doors that open in the nice weather.
    No reservations for bar seats!

  • Greenhouse Patio

Dine on our patio, which we call The Greenhouse. In the winter, we button down the sides and turn on the stove to keep it cozy. All summer, it’s open-air & breezy. Either way, it’s magical!

  • In the slow shoulder seasons, it’s easy enough to walk-in.

But as the weather warms up and more of you want to dine with us, we highly recommend reservations to ensure you don’t have to wait. (In the heart of summer, there can be an hour-or-more wait. Don’t do that to yourself!)

Please note: We do not take reservations for weekday lunches. You can just walk in. But we do accept — and recommend! — reservations for weekend lunches and dinner.

  • We accept reservations for our dining room and our Greenhouse patio. The Greenhouse is enclosed in winter and open-air in the summer.

We do not accept reservations for our canal-side seating. That area is predominantly comprised of wooden picnic tables that are always first come-first served.

If you are someone who is uncomfortable with a picnic table or who just wants to ensure they can dine when they arrive, we recommend reservations.

For those of you OK with taking a risk on getting a table along the water ... may the odds be ever in your favor.

  • We only accept reservations for our indoor dining room and our Greenhouse patio for dinner and weekend lunches.

We do NOT accept reservations for our outdoor canal-side seating area, which is predominantly comprised of wooden picnic tables that are always first come-first served.

Why? Because our dining room and Greenhouse patio tables are typically fully booked with reservations, so we cannot promise you a spot under cover if it rains.

  • We know you sometimes run late. So do we! But we can only hold your table for 15 minutes.

If you are running later than that, you will need to join the wait list for for the next available table.

You can try to call us at 313.338.9466, but we often are unable to answer the phone.

  • We know you love to celebrate with your friends! And we say the more the merrier — up to 12 guests.

We cannot accept reservations for parties larger than 12.

For groups larger than 12, we would love to organize a private party for you, complete with special menu and a dedicated space.

Fill out our Private Events form and someone will get back in touch with details.

You may be tempted to make multiple reservations or just walk in to get around our policy. If you do, we may not be able to seat you — and even if we can, you will likely be seated at separate tables in separate sections. And that would ruin the fun. So reach out to set up a private event.

Questions? E-mail hello@corianderkitchenandfarm.com to discuss our private party options.

  • Our servers can offer individual checks for groups of five or smaller. Additionally, we add an automatic 20% gratuity to all parties of six or more.

  • We love dogs and welcome your well-behaved friend to join you on our first come-first served canal-side seating area.

However, only service animals are welcome on our pergola and inside the dining room.

If you make a reservation for one of those spaces and bring your dog, you will be asked to join the wait list for a canal-side table.

  • Yes! We have six slips available on a first come-first served basis.

On summer weekends, we may be able to accommodate full-service boat dining. But this is fully at the discretion of our General Manager and is based on our staffing levels.

Please note: We can only dock boats that are 26 feet or shorter and have less than a four-foot draw (even less when the canal is low).

To access Coriander, you need to arrive via the canal that opens up to the Detroit River on the west side of Riverfront-Lakeside East Park.

  • Yes. Visit our Private Events page to fill out our informational form and someone will get back in touch with you.
